Community Futures
Loan and advisory services provided by Community Futures are part of
a comprehensive
community economic development strategy. The goal of the strategy is
to create a healthy economy on the Sunshine Coast.
Lending Criteria
- Start-up
or existing business
- Viability demonstrated through business plan
- Business located on the Sunshine Coast
- Competent management
- Creates or maintains employment
- Ability to repay
- Inability to secure adequate funding under reasonable terms elsewhere
- Reasonable personal investment
- Provision of adequate security
Application
Process
- Make
an appointment to meet with a Business Advisor
to discuss your requirements.
- Draft a business plan. Community Futures provides monthly workshops
to assist with business planning.
- Determine specific financial requirements.
- Through consultation with the Business
Advisor, develop a plan of action for acquiring financing. You may
be required to make application to a bank or credit union.
- Applications meeting Community Futures criteria will be presented
by the Business Advisor to a monthly meeting of the Community Futures
Loans and Investment Committee.
- The Loans and Investment Committee approves applications determined
suitable for Community Futures financial support.
