Rick Cooney

Rick Cooney's professional background is 29 years in the financial institution industry. He started out at CIBC and is now the Manager, Operations and Development of the Sunshine Coast Credit Union. Rick has been treasurer of
the Festival of the Written Arts at the Rockwood Centre for 11 years and previously was the treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce. Rick was a founding member of the Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast in Sechelt, a founding member of the Gibsons Paddle Club and was the treasurer of the Sunshine Coast Economic Development Partnership for 2 years. Rick has been involved in numerous economic development meetings and trade shows. Rick was also a member of the original organizational committee of SCORE, which is now a Community Futures Development Corporation Initiative.
