Sandra Cunningham

Sandra moved to Gibsons about six years ago from North Vancouver to fulfill a long term goal to “get out of the big city”. Sandra became very involved in the community, working in the past with the Gibsons And Area Community Centre Society, the Elphinstone Official Community Plan, the Sunshine Coast Business Retention and Expansion Society, (operating as the Bottom Line), as Secretary for the Newcomers group, columnist for Around Gibsons in The Coast Reporter, VP Membership for the Morning Star Toastmaster group, and the past Coordinator for the Sunshine Coast Cancer Relay For Life. Currently Sandra is the President of the Canadian Federation of University Women-Sunshine Coast, Communications Director for the Spirit of BC Community Committee (2010), Vice President, Gibsons and District Chamber of Commerce, and Communications Chair for BC Liberal Riding Association–Powell River/Sunshine Coast. Sandra’s career background includes banking, sales and marketing, information technology, business development, and management consulting. A passion to help small business and for giving back to her community has resulted in an active, rewarding life in our community; just what she had hoped for when she made the move here.
