Community Futures Sunshine Coast offers a diverse range of programs and initiatives that reflect the evolving needs of the Sunshine Coast business community. Whether you're launching a new idea, scaling your operations, buying or selling a business, or simply looking to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs — we’re here to provide the tools, knowledge, and community support to help you move forward with confidence. Our offerings include everything from local networking opportunities to specialized support for growth, innovation, and export readiness.

The Community Futures Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) is designed to make it easier for entrepreneurs with disabilities or ongoing health conditions to pursue their business goals by providing access to a network of business professionals and resources.
Self-employment provides flexible hours, personalized work environments and economic inclusion for individuals who have a viable business idea and are ready, willing and motivated to run their own business.
The program offers assistance with developing a business plan, business training, business coaching and business loans.
Are you a Sunshine Coast resident pursuing education or training in business, entrepreneurship, or community economic development? You may be eligible for the Barrie Wilbee Bursary, awarded annually in honour of one of the region’s most respected community and business leaders.
Established by Community Futures Sunshine Coast in collaboration with the Sunshine Coast Foundation, this endowment supports emerging entrepreneurs who are committed to building strong, locally rooted businesses.
Venture Connect helps business owners sell, transition, or restructure their businesses, including partner transitions. They provide valuation services, succession planning, and an online marketplace to connect sellers and buyers. Through expert guidance and workshops, they ensure small businesses remain viable and continue contributing to local economies.
Export Navigator helps businesses in British Columbia expand into new markets by providing free, one-on-one support from expert advisors. They guide businesses through export planning, market research, and trade regulations, making it easier to grow beyond local markets. The program is designed for small and medium-sized businesses looking to explore national and international opportunities.
The Community Futures Coast Catalyst Business Accelerator is a nine-week program designed for Sunshine Coast entrepreneurs who are ready to strengthen, refine, and grow their business.
Through practical webinars, in-person workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning, participants will build stronger business foundations and gain tools they can apply right away. The program covers key areas such as business planning, financial literacy, branding, marketing, operations, and pitching, while providing ongoing support from experienced facilitators, mentors, and a community of fellow entrepreneurs.

Running a business means juggling a lot — and sometimes, a reliable resource can make all the difference. MyCF is an online platform available to Sunshine Coast entrepreneurs that offers live and recorded learning sessions on topics like marketing, planning, and financing.
You can join scheduled webinars, access recordings for up to 30 days, and even connect with an advisor for personalized business support.
Many workshops are free, while others are offered for a minimal fee. There is no need to be enrolled in a specific program. Just sign up, log in, and learn on your own schedule.
